The material composition of this steel includes 12.0%-14.0% chromium to provide superior corrosion protection in hostile conditions and provide self-healing properties. The material hardness, along with wear resistance, comes from a carbon content of 0.16%-0.25%, yet silicon(≤1.0%) provides enhanced high-temperature oxidation protection. Additionally, manganese(≤1.0%) boosts tensile strength and toughness.
