Key Specifications and Properties of CGCC Silicon Steel
CGCC Silicon Steel is manufactured under strict dimensional specifications, widths 600-1100 mm, lengths 2-5 m, and thickness 0.35-0.5 mm with a close tolerance of +-1%. These are uniform measurements, which are easy to incorporate into automated lines and precision heavy fabrication processes.
The CGCC Silicon Steel is a cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel (CRNGO). It ensures uniform direction of magnetic property as well as low total loss (watts), so it is very suitable for rotation machines like motors and generators. It typically has 2 to 3% silicon, which gives improved iron energy and magnetostriction, and only 0.2 to 0.5% aluminum is used to resist oxidation and reduce electrical losses. A hot-rolled steel sheet is subjected to annealing (cooled to the rolling temperature), pickling (to remove scale produced during hot rolling), and coated with other metallic coats, such as an electro-galvanized steel sheet.
