416 Stainless Steel Plate
416 Stainless Steel Plate is valued for its exceptional machinability and moderate corrosion protection properties. This plate meets the requirements for precise machining operations because it combines remarkable strength with efficient machining performance. Manufacturers widely select this free-machining chromium steel alloy, used in various applications like gears, valves, pumps, and electrical motor components. Excellent wear resistance combined with durability allows long-lasting performance in challenging environmental conditions. This Stainless Steel Plate provides reliable performance, especially for industrial and commercial uses, while improving overall efficiency.
Parameter
416 Stainless Steel Plates Specification
416 Stainless Steel Plate contains 12-14% chromium and offers good corrosion resistance. A combination of 0.15% carbon, 1.25% manganese and 1% silicon enhances both strength and hardness of the material. The 0.15% sulfur addition in this steel significantly improves its machining capabilities, thus making it one of the stainless steels best suited for machining. Due to its sulfur content, the corrosion protection from this material falls slightly below austenitic stainless grades.
